More Otacool2 Entry

Below is the final work that I submitted for the contest. Not the best cityscapes building I’ve drawn… :/

Here’s my entry link at Danny Choo’s Figure.fm site.

The Y-Splitter Dilemma

fail_diagram

A rough diagram which I manage to figure out the best solution to hook up both my desktop and laptop to my speaker system.

After doing much research (for safety reasons), turn out using a Y-splitter will damage the sound card of each respective computer and not a good idea in the end. Now I need to purchase a Male to Female cable so I can hookup the the speaker connector into the desktop through it when I’m not using my laptop so I do not need to rewire the whole system when I need sound from the desktop (and losing the laptop output ability to the main speaker).

The internet is really a great resource in doing homework (or risk learning the hard way by witnessing your own sound card get fried due to technical issues which get overlooked which I’m not willing to take chances).

Google Chrome

I didn’t install Chrome after I formated Vista and replace it with Windows 7.

One thing I noticed from the latest version which I just install is how fast it process heavy sites compared to Firefox 3.6. Heck my own websites load quicker compare to Firefox.

I recommend having Chrome install together with Firefox in case my websites loads really slowly due to Javascripts performance issues in Firefox.

Download Chrome here.

Colour Overlay Sketch

Trying to practice applying colour above a black and white sketch. Didn’t turn out quite well since the colour is purely imaginative instead of referring to reference.

EDIT: Added a head study based on John Singer Sargent work.

More Updates

Old school

I realized I didn’t link my website project done for college assignment. Click above to view it. All done from scratch with good old Dreamweaver and Photoshop.

As usual more sketch dumps:
